Through its wastewater and stormwater projects, ORKON International not only focuses on engineering efficiency but also on environmental resilience and community well-being. Our designs incorporate nature-based solutions, such as green retention zones, permeable surfaces, and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS), to harmonize infrastructure with the natural environment. Each project is guided by a holistic approach reducing flood risks, enhancing groundwater recharge, and improving urban livability while ensuring long-term adaptability to climate change.
Davutlar-Güzelçamlı (Aydın) Sewerage Implementation Project
This is a sewerage network implementation project for the Davutlar-Güzelçamlı (AYDIN) districts for the 2041 needs.
Given the topography of the land and approved field studies, and because the towns’ wastewater will be treated at the treatment plant built as part of the KUŞATAK Project, gravity conveyance of wastewater was not feasible. As a result of the project’s hydraulic solution, three separate pumping stations were designed for wastewater. Due to the large elevation difference and distance between the third pumping station and the treatment plant entrance, a fourth pumping station was also designed. The project includes a network and collector line with pipes in diameters of Ø200, Ø300, Ø400, Ø500, Ø600, Ø700, Ø800, Ø1000, and Ø1200, totaling 158 km in the first stage and 210 km in the second stage.
