Process Design & Optimization
Tailored water treatment processes including sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and reverse osmosis, adapted to local water characteristics.

We deliver drinking water treatment plants that provide safe, clean, and reliable water to communities and industries. ORKON’s expertise covers every stage from source protection to distribution.
Our Capabilities:
Process and hydraulic design for treatment capacity optimization
Filtration, disinfection, and advanced purification systems
Automation (SCADA) and real-time monitoring integration
Construction, commissioning, and operator training
Compliance with WHO, EU, and national drinking water standards
Each project is designed to ensure access to clean water — the foundation of healthy communities and sustainable growth.
Tailored water treatment processes including sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and reverse osmosis, adapted to local water characteristics.
ORKON incorporates low-energy pumping, solar-powered systems, and efficient filtration technologies to minimize environmental impact.
Our facilities are built on precision engineering, cutting-edge automation, and sustainability principles all aligned with global water quality standards (EU Directives, WHO guidelines, and local regulations). Each project integrates technology with nature to provide communities and industries with pure, safe, and high-quality drinking water.
Our drinking water treatment projects are designed not only to meet today’s demand but also to preserve future water resources.
Trabzon Drinking Water Plant Projects
The project includes the implementation of the water intake structure, transmission line, pumping stations, tank discharge valves, suction cups, pipeline valves, stream crossings, service roads, and treatment plants. To meet the 2045 water needs of the district centers of Trabzon City Center, Akçaabat, Yomra, Arsin, Söğütlü, Yıldızlı, Derecik, and Akçaköy, as well as surrounding settlements along the route, the following projects have been prepared: raw water collected from the Atasu Dam via a buoy intake structure will be conveyed to the treatment plant to be built in the Akoluk Kışlatepe area. After treatment, the water will be distributed to Trabzon City Center and the specified districts. The necessary pumping stations and water reservoirs will be constructed, as well as the rehabilitation of existing pumping stations and water reservoirs to be used within the scope of the project. Implementation projects for all engineering structures along the transmission lines (branch, discharge, suction cup, valve chambers, service roads, stream and road crossings, horizontal drilling, detection blocks, etc.), cathodic protection of steel pipe transmission lines, renovation of the cathodic protection of the existing pipeline, and expropriation plans for all facilities have been prepared. The project target year is 2045.
Şanlıurfa Drinking Water Treatment Plant Project
Due to the inadequacy of the existing Stage 1 drinking water treatment plant within the borders of the DSI 15th Regional Directorate, the required facilities to meet Şanlıurfa’s drinking water needs (with a capacity of 300,000 m3/day) until 2050 are: Fast Mixing, Slow Mixing, Clarifier, Filter, Chlorine Building units, sludge dewatering unit, connections of these units to the existing plant, and any projects necessary for completion of the project, as well as the existing raw water pump station. The necessary implementation projects have been prepared for the addition of motor-pump groups within the existing pumping station buildings, which will provide second-stage flow at the existing clean water pump station. Considering the technical and economic feasibility of these facilities, the necessary quantities, cost estimates, green file, and technical specifications for the construction tender have been prepared.
Antalya Drinking Water Karacaören II Dam Transmission Line
The project includes a preliminary design for the intake structure, transmission line, discharge, suction valve, line valve, stream crossing, service road, horizontal slide gate, and treatment plant.
The project aims to deliver raw water from the Karacaören II Dam to the treatment plant to be constructed in Varsak to meet the drinking, utility, and industrial water needs of Antalya and its surrounding communities until 2045. Raw water to be taken in accordance with the specified purpose, Q = 8.052 m³/sec raw water taken from Karacaören II Dam HEPP penstock through the branch reserved for drinking water will be conveyed to the treatment plant by gravity through a steel pipe transmission line with diameters of Ø 2845 and Ø 2032 mm and length of ΣL = 42,994.03 m. In addition, construction of all kinds of engineering structures on the transmission lines (water intake structure, discharge, suction cup, line valve, road, natural gas, sewer, stream and irrigation channel, steerable horizontal drilling passages, etc.), steel pipe fixing masses, cathodic protection of steel pipe transmission lines, construction of service roads in sections where existing roads cannot be used, GIS studies, electrical, SCADA and automation works of the facilities within the scope of the project, supply and installation of all kinds of electrical and mechanical equipment, training of the operation personnel, preparation of operation and maintenance manuals for the system and Expropriation Plans were made within the scope of this work.
