Trabzon Drinking Water Plant Projects

The project includes the implementation of the water intake structure, transmission line, pumping stations, tank discharge valves, suction cups, pipeline valves, stream crossings, service roads, and treatment plants. To meet the 2045 water needs of the district centers of Trabzon City Center, Akçaabat, Yomra, Arsin, Söğütlü, Yıldızlı, Derecik, Akçaköy, and surrounding settlements along the route, the following projects will be prepared: raw water taken from the Atasu Dam via a buoy water intake structure will be conveyed to the treatment plant to be built in the Akoluk Kışlatepe area. After treatment, the water will be distributed to Trabzon City Center and the specified districts. The necessary pumping stations and water tanks will be built, the rehabilitation of existing pumping stations and water tanks to be used within the scope of the project, the implementation projects for all types of engineering structures on the transmission lines (branch, discharge, suction cup, valve chambers, service roads, stream and road crossings, horizontal drillings, detection blocks, etc.), the cathodic protection of steel pipe transmission lines, the renewal of the cathodic protection of the existing pipeline, and the expropriation plans for all facilities. The target year of the project is 2045.

Silopi Drinking Water Project

The project includes preliminary designs for the water intake structure, transmission line, discharge valve, vent valve, stream crossing, service road, and treatment plant. The project aims to deliver raw water from the Silopi Dam to a treatment plant to be built north of the Yeşiltepe neighborhood to meet the drinking and utility water needs of Silopi and surrounding settlements until 2045. The required raw water is collected through a system (water intake structure) mounted on the end of a Ø 700 mm polyethylene pipe located upstream of the dam, allowing for water intake from various elevations, and then transferred to the transmission line.

With this project, which will be carried out for the purpose of supplying drinking and utility water, the raw water of 0.536 m³/s (Qpeak = 0.691 m³/s) on average for the year 2045 was conveyed to the treatment plant by gravity through a steel pipe transmission line with a diameter of Ø 1016 mm and a length of L = 39,307.26 m. In order to meet the water needs of the Silopi district and surrounding settlements, the following were carried out within the scope of this work: the transmission of Q = 0.691 m³/s of raw water to be taken from the Silopi Dam to the Treatment Plant to be built in the northeast of Silopi (north of the Yeşiltepe neighborhood); the construction of all kinds of engineering structures (water intake structure, discharge, suction cup, line valve, road, etc.) on the transmission lines; the construction of steel pipe fixing masses, cathodic protection of steel pipe transmission lines, and service roads in sections where existing roads cannot be used; GIS studies; electrical, SCADA, and automation works of the facilities within the scope of the project; the supply and installation of all kinds of electrical and mechanical equipment; the training of the operating personnel; and the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals for the system.

Preliminary calculations for the treatment plant to be built within the scope of the project and the expropriation plans of all facilities have been prepared and approved by the Cadastre Directorate.

Şanlıurfa Drinking Water Treatment Plant Project

Due to the inadequacy of the existing Stage 1 drinking water treatment plant within the boundaries of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) 15th Regional Directorate, the necessary implementation projects have been prepared for the facilities required to meet Şanlıurfa’s drinking water needs until 2050 (with a capacity of 300,000 m3/day). These include: Fast Mixing, Slow Mixing, Clarifier, Filter, Chlorine Building, Sludge Dewatering Unit, connections to the existing plant, and any projects required for completion of the project. The existing raw water pump station and the motor-pump group additions allocated within these pumping stations, which will provide Stage 2 flow at the existing clean water pump station, have been completed. The technical and economic feasibility of these facilities has been taken into account and the basis for the construction tender has been prepared for the quantity survey, cost estimate, green file, and technical specifications.

Şırnak Drinking Water Planning and Project Development

The project includes a water catchment, transmission system, reservoir, pumping station, and regulator for irrigation water.
The water to meet the demand will be supplied by the Mijin spring, located approximately 50 km east of Şırnak city center within the Uludere district. A catchment structure has been constructed to convey the Mijin spring to the city. The catchment, constructed at an elevation of 1443.87 m, has a volume of 75 m³. The first stage transmission line will connect to the 2,000 m³ main distribution reservoir, constructed at an elevation of 1408.52 m in the city. This transmission line, with a total length of 48,738.06 m, utilizes Ø 600 steel pipes throughout. Five Ø 600 mm diameter line valves have been installed along the line, approximately every 8 km. The line also includes 31 discharge valves and 37 suction cups. In addition, when passing through large and small streams and roads, typical stream and road crossing projects have been designed according to the conditions of the streams and roads.
