EC-AQUA
“Using ECVET Project Practices to Determine Competencies in Sanitation and Water Loss Management (EC-AQUA)”
The EC-AQUA Project is implemented under the Lifelong Learning Leonardo da Vinci Innovation Transfer Program.
The EC-AQUA project ensures transparency and addresses the problem of ambiguity in qualifications at national and international levels. Given the ever-increasing complexity of contemporary education, the EC-AQUA project aims to improve the field of study in the EU by supporting the definition of transparent certificates and qualifications for the transfer of competencies.
EC-AQUA activities develop a work plan focusing on the transfer of ECVET practices to ensure transparent recognition and transfer of learning outcomes in sanitation and water loss management. This will be achieved by building on Project PROWAT TR/06/B/F/PP/178065, with an updated content, and expanding to new sectoral and geographical areas.
The development of the EC-AQUA model involves the following processes:
Establishing a partnership working to develop the project at national and EU levels.
Developing an ECVET application based on the EC-AQUA competency map and qualifications.
Defining certification units and assigning ECVET credits.
Developing a multilingual e-learning portal on sanitation and water loss management.
Developing a guide for implementing the new model.
Conducting testing and evaluations.
Developing a post-project dissemination plan for the EC-AQUA project.
The EC-AQUA project was developed with partners from four countries:
UNION LAB (Bulgaria), Intellect Foundation (Bulgaria), South East Europe Media Organization/SEEMO (Austria), Prof. Balan Interuniversity Research Center (Bulgaria), Institut National des Sciences Appliquées/INSA (France), and ERBIL Project Consulting Engineering (Turkey). All partners have extensive experience in developing EU programs and identifying their expertise and capacities, which will contribute to the success and competence of the EC-AQUA project.
